Warm up St Patrick’s Day with Irish Coffee around the Fire Pit

St Patrick’s Day celebrated on March 17th is all things Irish, from Leprechauns to Irish Whiskey. However, much of what we consume on St. Patrick’s Day isn’t authentically Irish such as green beer. The exception is Irish Coffee, which was devised in Ireland to warm weary travelers stranded by the weather at the Foynes Airport in 1943. The Irish Coffee made its way to the United States in the 1950s and is still very popular today.
So why not, plan to celebrate this year with an authentic Irish drink, the Irish Coffee around a Seasons Fire Pit. Start by pre-heating a clear coffee mug with very hot water then empty the water from the mug and add 2 teaspoons of brown sugar. Next add some freshly brewed rich coffee and stir. As soon as the sugar is melted, add a generous pour of Irish Whiskey and stir. Finally, pour whipped fresh cream on the coffee and top with Crème de Menthe or sugar sprinkles for an added touch of green.
